The rumor that he owns nine trillion naira is a lie – Zamfara Governo
The governor of Zamfara state, Dauda Lawal has denied the claims that he has declared assets worth 9 trillion naira.
The governor in a statement issued by his spokesman, Sulaiman Idris on Friday in Gusau, described the story as a fabrication prepared to divert the attention of the new government from its efforts to save Zamfara.
He added that those who lost the election spread the lies, as they did during the election campaign.
The announcement stated that the new government has started working and focused on ensuring that it provides the necessary stability in the administration of the state in order to discharge the responsibility that is on it.
The statement added: “We will not be distracted by such fake news on social media, because our government is determined and focused on solving the problem of security and education and providing drinking water and improving health and agriculture and other economic challenges that afflict the state.
We are also working day and night to ensure that we fulfill the responsibilities and tasks that the governor promised to manage.” as the announcement said.
The governor through his spokesperson said that his government is working hard in its efforts to save and rebuild Zamfara state, where it is focused on fulfilling its promises.
He also asked the public to ignore the lies that are being deliberately spread to discredit his new government.
